
The University of Strathclyde can be founded in Glasgow, Scotland. Founded in 1796 the university has grown to host 30,000 students from over 140 coutnries. As a public technological university it specialised in engineering and scientific courses but still offers a range of options. It accomplishments precede it, with numerous courses and research projects being recognised as excellent or world-class. It has won Scottish University of the Year and placed second as the UK University of the year in 2026. This is due to its specialist courses and rigorous academic pursuits, preparing students for their future careers.

The departments also are connected to a public engagement team who support academic and research development.

When applying to the University of Strathclyde undergraduates from the UK must apply through UCAS. For international and post-graduate students they may apply through the Pegasus system, the unviersities internal application portal. The application deadline for undergraduate courses is often at the end of January, whereas, the deadline for postgraduate courses is The universities International Study Centre is in place to support international applicants. However all applicants must demonstrate a high level of English language.
