ADMISSIONS

Admission to Westminster School is highly selective, with the principal entry points at 13+ and Sixth Form. For 13+ entry, candidates may apply through the pre test route or through the school’s own competitive examinations. Pre test applicants sit assessments in Year 6, with successful candidates receiving conditional offers subject to performance in later examinations. Direct entry candidates sit examinations in English, mathematics and reasoning in Year 8, followed by interviews.

Sixth Form admission is open to both boys and girls. Applicants sit examinations in their chosen A level subjects and attend interviews with senior staff. Offers are conditional on strong GCSE results, particularly in subjects relevant to Sixth Form study.

Academic scholarships are available, along with awards for music and art. Means tested bursaries are offered to widen access. The school seeks students who demonstrate high academic ability, drive, curiosity and the potential to contribute fully to a demanding but rewarding intellectual environment.
