UCS offers approximately 60 places for Year 7 entry each year, with boys admitted at 11+ joining those transferring from the UCS Junior Branch. Families are encouraged to visit the school during Open Evenings in the Autumn Term. The application deadline is usually in November and the online form takes about 20 minutes to complete.
All candidates who have registered are invited to sit the entrance exam, which takes place in January and consists of an English exam and a maths exam, taking about 3 hours altogether. Successful candidates proceed to interviews, which consists of a mini lesson and an individual interview, in late January, with offers made in mid-February, ensuring a thorough and inclusive selection process.
