ADMISSIONS

Sydenham High School is selective, with main entry points at 4+, 7+, 11+, and 16+. Admission is designed to identify both academic potential and personal qualities aligned with the school’s values. For 11+ entry, applicants take entrance assessments in English, Mathematics, and Reasoning, followed by an interview to explore interests and aptitude. For Sixth Form entry, offers are based on GCSE results, predicted grades, and an interview, with candidates expected to achieve high grades in subjects chosen for A-level study.

The school offers scholarships in academics, music, art, and sport, as well as means-tested bursaries through the GDST Bursary Programme. Open events and taster days are held throughout the year, giving families the opportunity to experience the school’s ethos and community.
