Admission to St Paul’s Girls’ School is highly selective. The main entry points are at 11+ and Sixth Form. For 11+ entry, candidates take examinations in English, Mathematics, and Reasoning. Successful applicants are invited for an interview, during which intellectual curiosity, communication skills, and potential are explored. References and school reports also form part of the selection process.
For Sixth Form entry, pupils apply in the autumn before joining. Candidates sit papers in their intended A level subjects and attend interviews. Offers are typically conditional on achieving high GCSE grades, especially in subjects they plan to pursue.
St Paul’s offers academic and music scholarships, and means-tested bursaries are available to support accessibility. The school seeks applicants who are intellectually ambitious, self-motivated, and ready to embrace both the academic challenge and the rich creative and co-curricular life of the school.
