Queen’s Gate School is selective, with entry at 4+, 7+, 11+, and 16. Admissions aim to identify academic potential, enthusiasm, and suitability for a challenging and supportive environment. For 11+ entry, candidates sit entrance assessments in English, Mathematics, and Reasoning, followed by an interview to explore interests and intellectual engagement. Current school references are also reviewed. Sixth Form applicants attend an interview, provide predicted GCSE grades, and are typically expected to achieve results that support their chosen A level subjects.
The school offers academic, music, and art scholarships, and means tested bursaries are available to widen access. Most admissions take place during the autumn term, with assessments in the spring. Queen’s Gate seeks students who are capable, reflective, and eager to embrace both academic and creative opportunities within a purposeful and supportive environment.
