The curriculum is broad, combining traditional academic subjects with specialist creative pathways. Students can choose from a wide range of A level subjects such as Fine Art, Photography, Music, Drama, Film Studies, Psychology, English Literature, History, Sociology, and Politics. Teaching takes place in small classes, typically with fewer than ten students, ensuring close attention, personalised feedback, and strong academic guidance.
Facilities include purpose built art studios, photography darkrooms, music rehearsal spaces, drama rooms, and digital media suites. The college makes full use of its Hampstead location, incorporating visits to galleries, theatres, and cultural institutions into the learning experience. Students receive extensive support for university and art school applications, including portfolio preparation, interview coaching, and written work guidance. The pastoral system is highly personalised, centred on regular one to one tutorials that support academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development.

Admission to Fine Arts College is selective but designed to recognise both academic ability and creative potential. Entry is available at 13+, 14+, 16+, and occasionally into other year groups depending on availability. Applicants take part in an interview with senior staff and are asked to provide school reports, predicted grades, and, where relevant, a portfolio of artwork or creative work. Subject specific assessments may also be required for certain courses.
The college accepts students onto two year A level programmes, one year intensive A level courses, and GCSE courses. Applications are considered throughout the year, though early registration is recommended due to small class sizes. Scholarships are not offered, but the college aims to make the admissions process accessible to motivated students with strong artistic or academic ambition. Fine Arts College seeks applicants who are self driven, imaginative, and eager to thrive in a creative, intellectually stimulating environment that values individuality and artistic freedom.
