ADMISSIONS

Entry to Blackheath High School is selective, with main entry points at 4+, 7+, 11+, and 16. Admissions aim to identify academic potential, enthusiasm, and alignment with the school’s values. For 11+ entry, candidates sit assessments in English and Mathematics and complete a reasoning test, followed by an interview with senior staff. School references and reports are also reviewed. Sixth Form admission requires predicted GCSE grades, an interview, and subject specific entry requirements for A level courses.

The school offers scholarships in academics, music, art, drama, and sport. Means tested bursaries are available through the GDST to support families who require financial assistance. Open mornings and events are held throughout the year, allowing families to gain insight into the school’s culture, curriculum, and community. Blackheath High seeks pupils who are curious, determined, and eager to make the most of both academic and co-curricular opportunities within a supportive and forward thinking environment.
