
The University of Essex is spread across three campuses in Colchester, Southend-on-Sea, and Loughton. Since being established in 1965, the university has grown to be recognised for its strong humanities departments. The university is also home to modern sport facilities, notably supporting their accomplished football team.

The University of Essex follows the UK standard application process through UCAS but also allows applicants to apply via the Direct Admission form, which can be found on the universities website. The university is particulalry attractive to international students, offering the Essex Global Talent Scholarship, which can provide a 50% discount on the first-year of tuition. Additionally the university is home to the East 15 Acting School, which accepts auditions alongside applications.
