Each year, Emanuel School welcomes around 96 new pupils into Year 7, joining the 48 pupils moving up from Year 6, forming six groups. It's a great idea to visit the school during an open event - this gives you a chance to explore the campus, look at the facilities, and chat with staff and current students. To apply, you must first submit an online application. The deadline for this is usually in October, this includes any educational psychologist reports if needed as well as a copy of their end of Year 5 school report.
The 11+ entrance exam usually takes place in December, consisting of an English, maths and verbal reasoning assessment. In January, candidates will receive email invitations for interviews and group experiences with offer letters being sent approximately a month later. Offer letters will be sent by first class post in February, followed by offer holder events. The acceptance deadline is in March. Entry to Emanuel School is competitive, with around 1,000 children applying for Year 7 annually, so it's important to focus on building foundational knowledge and confidence ahead of the exam day.
