ADMISSIONS

Channing is academically selective, with each place highly sought after. While most Junior School girls transition to the Senior School, they have around 55 places available in Year 7 for applicants from other schools. The first step of the entrance process is to apply online, the deadline for this is usually the start of November. After this, a confidential reference is requested from your daughter’s current school headteacher. In early December, there is the Channing 11+ Assessment Day. Channing are part of the London 11+ Consortium, which evaluates not only cognitive ability but also creative and critical thinking, problem-solving and consists of both adaptive and non-adaptive sections. Lastly, they invite all candidates for face-to-face interviews in January.
