A comprehensive course covering the set work (The Beatles' 'Revolver') from the listening and appraising component of the Edexcel A-Level in music. This unit equips A-Level music students with the analysis, listening and writing skills, as well as the knowledge they need to excel in a listening test, 20-mark or 30-mark essay on The Beatles' 'Revolver' in the A-Level music listening and appraising exam. The course opens with two introductory lessons exploring the context of the album, followed by three lessons diving into the analytical detail of the study songs, and finishing with a lesson on wider listening, essay themes and exam technique. This course is suitable for reasonably advanced students at A-Level standard but is equally open to those with experience who would like to broaden their understanding of the subject matter.
