ADMISSIONS

Haberdashers’ Girls’ School is academically selective, with main entry points at 4+, 7+, 11+ and Sixth Form. For 11+ entry, registration typically closes in the autumn preceding entry. Applicants sit assessments that usually include English, mathematics and reasoning, followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates. Sixth Form applicants sit entrance examinations in their chosen subjects and attend an interview, with offers made on the basis of strong academic potential and predicted GCSE performance. Families are encouraged to attend open events to gain insight into the school’s ethos, academic culture and co-curricular breadth. The admissions process aims to identify pupils who demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, intellectual promise and a readiness to contribute positively to the school community.
