I have amassed over 500 hours of teaching experience and have taught lessons at a number of music schools across the UK.
I really enjoy sharing knowledge and practise methods to build solid musicality and technique but remain relaxed and encouraging, believing that the student and the teacher can explore music together in a way that’s intellectually stimulating and fun! My diverse musical experiences and keen analytical skills help to teach each student what they want to learn and I really enjoy discovering each individual student's musical personality so that I can find the best way to help them.

I am a jazz pianist, composer, improviser and transcriber. I have always had a strong connection with music and started playing the drums at four years old and the piano at the age of nine. I took the ABRSM classical piano and music theory grades before studying jazz.
My specific areas of expertise are jazz music, improvisation, composition, music theory and aural skills/transcription. I also possess some specific knowledge of synthesiser and keyboard programming.
Having a plethora of performance experience (including playing at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club and on cruise ships for two years) and teaching experience (both at music schools and via private 1-to-1 lessons), I appreciate and play a wide range of musical styles, from classical to rock, pop, funk, soul and of course jazz.
I graduated with a first class honours BA (Hons) degree in jazz with the highest score in my year. Additionally, I graduated from the master's jazz course at Trinity Laban with distinction, and I was generously supported by the Pauline Holden Scholarship, Trinity College London Scholarship, The Radford Trust and The Henry Wood Accommodation Trust.
