This course is designed to help students understand the key concepts of management accounting in today's world and how it differs from historical practices. The course also provides insight into key management accounting tools used in practice. By exploring the key concepts, students will learn in-depth the following management accounting tools: product costing, budgeting and forecasting, capital investment appraisals, break-even and margin analysis, and analysing variances to financial plans, with a focus on what it really means for the business. By the end of this course, students will have a thorough understanding as to what management accounting in the modern world entails.
